C. P. Landry, author of The Cajun Kids Adventures series, has published four volumes with Excaliber Publishing Services: Mystery at Indian Point, 2022; Adventure in the Wild, 2022; The Cup, the Cap, and the Ring-Tailed Monkey, 2023; and Storm Clouds, 2023.
Congratulations to C. P. Landry and Vol. 1, Mystery at Indian Point, for winning the Silver Mom’s Choice Award and being a finalist in the American Writing Awards as a Children’s Book International Finalist in three categories: Fiction, Adventure, and Chapter Series.
C. P. Landry is a lifelong resident of South Louisiana and a descendant of the original French Acadians now known as Cajuns. His wife of 40 years, Jade, shares a similar heritage as the fifth generation to hunt, trap, and fish the marshes of the Atchafalaya River Basin. Together, they raised their five children to respect their heritage and land. The Cajun Kids Adventures series is loosely based on the experiences, challenges, and shenanigans of his children’s unique upbringing.
Jade and their daughter, Camryn, assist in the family business in a variety of ways, including web design, social media, book illustrations, and formatting. Their cover artist is Steve Shamburger.
Currently, C. P. Landry is working on Vol. 5, The Watchmen, to be followed by Vol. 6, The Legend of Awful Art. His favorite place to write is at their camp, located in the Atchafalaya River Basin.
