Upcoming events:

Our next WGA meeting is Tuesday, January 29, at 7:00 P. M. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Willlilam Thibodeaux of Lafayette Parish.  He is known for his articles and talks about historical events in our area.  He is a talented writer who is an expert researcher.  Come see and hear an author who has a true passion for the history of Acadiana.

The February prompt contest will be a fictional story of 5 minutes or a maximum of 500 words. The prompt is, "The smell of gumbo down the hall."  The prompt must appear in the story.

"Goal Diggers"
We are happy to announce that we have started a meeting for extra enrichment.  This is for all members interested in discussing topics relating to various genres. We may do exercises to put these ideas into practice.  We will call this group, "Goal Diggers."  We hope to see our interested members there for our fifth meeting which will be Monday, February 18, @ 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Barnes and Noble. The subject will be "Character " development.

The 2012-2014  WGA Anthology book, made up of the poetry, short fiction, and memoir "prompt" winners for those three years, is available for purchase at our meetings.  We also have an outstanding WGA cookbook available for $5 each while supplies last. They make great gifts!
